Winder Power Ltd, the leading UK manufacturer of power and distribution transformers, yesterday visited to No.10 Downing Street at the invitation of Prime Minister, David Cameron and the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne. The visit was to the summer garden party, at the residence of the Prime Minister

As part of the event, the Prime Minister thanked all the businesses he and the Chancellor had visited in the run up to the General Election on 7 May.

Commenting on his visit to No.10 Downing Street, Group Managing Director of Winder Power Limited, Laurence MacKenzie said, “We were delighted to be invited by the Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer to attend this prestigious event and for their recognition of the work that we do. Our success is a credit to our hard working and dedicated team in West Yorkshire. It is because of their continued efforts, work ethic and skills that we are in the position we are as a leading designer and manufacturer. I want to thank the whole team for their dedication. We look forward continuing our path of strong growth and development with their help and expertise.”

The Conservative Party has deep-rooted connections with the home of Winer Power in Pudsey, Leeds and the Chancellor made a visit to the state-of-the-art facility during the recent election campaign.
