Newton Derby is at the forefront of power generation for the rail industry with several flagship projects delivered over the past few years. These include projects for Transport for London, which is responsible for upgrading, replacing and maintaining two thirds of the London Underground, which carries more than one billion passengers a year. Which is as many as the entire National Rail network.

Recently Newton Derby installed three containerised rotary frequency changers on the Metropolitan Line which services 34 stations over a distance of 41.5 miles.

Additionally, Newton Derby has been awarded a further contract to supply five containerised frequency converters for the 40 mile District Line serving 60 stations.
